Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe, born 26 August 2002 is an American musician and singer. His fame exploded due to the release of the 2019 hit single "Ransom", which had a peak at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track was released on his debut mixtape , We Love You Tecca (2019) that peaked at number 4 on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also contained the two singles "Love Me" and "Did It Again". His debut album"Virgo World" (2020) was released at the top of the Billboard 200 at number 10. It also featured the Billboard Hot 100 chart-charting songs "Dolly", and "When You Down". The mixtape he followed "We Love You Tecca 2" was released in August 2021. It featured "Repeat It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe is an Jamaican Immigrant, was born in Queens on the 26th of August 2002. He was raised in the Springfield Gardens a neighborhood of Queens and later moved to Cedarhurst in Long Island. Sharpe was a child with dreams of becoming an athlete in basketball, but his attention shifted to music at age twelve. Sharpe attended Lawrence High School. Tecca aged nine at the at the time, was rapping with his friends with his Xbox to record. One of their tracks about diss was uploaded to SoundCloud some time ago but it was removed. In the beginning, he didn't have any plans of making music a living and instead , he envisioned becoming an NBA superstar. He began to take music more seriously when the time he stopped playing basketball in middle school. His first single, "Tectri", which was a hit in spring of 2017 was produced with Lil Gummybear and released in collaboration. Lil Gummybear. The artist also released "Callin" in the same year, which was one of his first songs. The career of Tecca began a year later with the hit single "Ransom" that was released to Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22nd the 22nd of May, 2019. It reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and has been played over 900,000,000 times on Spotify and more than 300 million times on YouTube.
